Tian Yuan Kui Guest House was built in the Qianlong year (1791) of the Qing Dynasty and is one of the oldest hotels in Pingyao. The hotel is in a beautiful courtyard building and has great atmosphere. It has kept the (Ming and Qing dynasty) wooden structure. It consists of a front courtyard, a middle courtyard, a side courtyard and a back courtyard. The spacious lobby also functions as a restaurant where you can have dinner, or take a rest, or surf the internet by our 5 fast-connection computers free of charge. Our restaurant can provide both Chinese and western food at a reasonable price. And all yards in our guesthouse are decorated with plants and flowers. In our back courtyard, there is a quiet area for our guests to enjoy reading, drinking etc.

Our guesthouse is very quiet. Some rooms feature the traditional kang-style bed, which can sleep up to two people and can be heated in winter. Some rooms are equipped with wooden dragon beds exclusively used by emperors in ancient China. All rooms have a private bathroom, with 24-hour hot water, air-conditioning, TV and wireless internet access. The room facilities are among the best in Pingyao.
