Fubo Hill
Fubo Hill (Wave-Subduing Hill) slopes into the Li River in the east and perches on ground in the west. It gets the name because waves run back and eddy wherever they meet the blocks by the hill. Someone believes that the name originates from a tale that Ma Yuan, called General Fubo of the Han Dynasty came here and poured all the pearls he carried into the river, thus the hill got its name in memory of him.
You feast your eyes on many places rich in charm and spectacularity, such as Kuishui Ting (Kui Stream Pavilion), Tingtao Pavilion (Listening to Waves), Banshan Ting (Half the Hill Pavilion), Huanzhu Cave (Returning the Pearl). Shijian Stone (Testing Sword), Qianfo Cave
(Thousand-Buddha Cave) and Coral Cave. There is also a pot which is said to be big enough to cook for one thousand people and a cast iron bell, which was built by the daughter of Prince Ding Nan of Qing Dynasty named Kong Youde as a memorial of him.
The Shijian Stone (Testing Sword Stone) in the Returning Pearl Cave which is closely attached to Li River is a giant stone, hanging from the ceiling of the cave with a gap only less than three centimeters. It seems that General Fubo once tested his sword here.
Returning Pearl Cave and Qianfo Cave is known as 'the Fascinating Place of Fubo Mountain' for there are many precious stone slabs and Buddha images in Tang and Song Dynasties.
