Elephant Trunk Hill
Elephant Trunk Hill just look like a huge elephant drinking water with its trunk at the west bank of Li River. That is why it gets the name.
Between the elephant trunk and its body is a semi-round cave penetrated by water, named Shui Yue Cave (Water Moon Cave). The inverted reflection of the cave in water plus the part above forms a full moon. When the waters wave and the moonlight gleam, the scene is extraordinarily enchanting. In and around the cave engraved more than 70 laudatory inscriptions from the Tang and Song dynasties. Elephant Eye Cave going through the hill lies in the hillside, regarded as the eyes of the elephant. In the cave, you can enjoy the beautiful scene of Guilin city. On top of the hill stands a two-storey pagoda named PuXian Pagoda, built in the Ming dynasty (1368-1644). Seen from afar, the pagoda looks like the handle of a sword.
