The Dinosaur Museum

The Dinosaur Museum in Zigong is built at the world-famous Dashanpu Dinosaur Fauna, about 11 kilometers (about 7 miles) from the center of Zigong City. It covers an area of 25,000 square meters (about 17 acres). It is famous as the American National and Canadian Dinosaur Parks with burial site.

The museum consists of three parts. The first part concentrates on the evolution of dinosaurs and species. The second part introduces all of the various types of dinosaur fossils found in Da Shanpu. The entire exhibition is displayed in a high and spacious hall. Here there are several completely intact skeletons of dinosaurs from the era. The third part describes the site of the dinosaur fossils, housing numerous ancient vertebrate animal fossils, mainly those of dinosaurs who lived about 160 million years ago. The site is regarded as the epitome of dinosaur tombs.

When you pass through the museum, you will feel its mysterious ambience seems that you walk in the world of more than 100 million years ago.
